San Francisco, July 10, 2012—Give by Cell, a San Francisco based company specializing in mobile technology solutions, was selected by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to provide the mobile fundraising service, Mobile Give, allowing supporters to make donations via text.
“The landscape of philanthropy is ever-changing, and it’s important to keep up with current trends and technology – which is why we at the Reeve Foundation felt it was important to have an ongoing text giving option for our supporters,” stated Aimee B. Hunnewell, Vice President of Development at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. “We have a number of programs and events that are geared toward the younger generations and also new donors, all of which are well-suited for the alternative offered by Give by Cell.”
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy. Supporters of this mission will be able to text “REEVE” to 20222 to make a $5 donation* with the charge applied to their next cell phone bill.
“We are very excited to get this program up and running,” said Ms. Hunnewell. “We especially like the mobile giving technology because it makes donating quick and easy. We strive to make giving as simple and convenient as possible for our supporters, and the Give by Cell mobile giving technology helps us accomplish that.”
Give by Cell works closely with organizations to customize the mobile fundraising technology to best meet client needs. Additional services available include live screencasting, text alerts, audio information hotlines, QR codes and custom mobile websites. Give by Cell also offers two additional mobile fundraising platforms, Mobile Donate and Mobile Pledge, both of which can be used in conjunction with Mobile Give.
