How did an Ohio Association Convince Young People to Donate?

Acuhoi

Associations survive based on the generosity of their members and the public. So when it comes to convincing a young audience to donate, it can be challenging. With their fast-paced lifestyles, writing a check may not come to mind when young people don’t own checkbooks. Even going to a website on a computer seems old-fashioned.

So, how does the Association of College and University Housing Officers - International (ACUHO-I) in Columbus, Ohio inspire a younger audience to make donations?

They turned to Give by Cell’s mobile giving technology, allowing donors to easily text in donations at fundraising events.

Scott Boden, Director of Development, reports, “We wanted to address the needs of the younger generation in our association by using technology. Give by Cell has enhanced our fundraising strategy.”

How did younger donors respond? Boden says, “They thought it was easy to use!”

For years Give by Cell has partnered with nonprofits to help maximize funding.

Mobile technology is the most effective fundraising solution today.
